The Maze Shirt

For Burning Man, it is de riguer to have some sort of illuminated clothing to wear around at night. The majority of these use EL wire, as it's very flexible and easy to work with.

I decided a maze would be fun, so with the help of my friend Tori, I projected a labyrinth pattern onto a cylinder and couched the result onto a black turtleneck. Or, honesty compells me to admit, mostly I stood there while Tori couched it onto me.

The result looks like this. You can see the little bit of EL Wire going off to the inverter in my hip pocket.

And here's the shirt from the back. This picture was actually taken after the shirt had been back and forth to the Playa half a dozen times, so you can see the stiching coming undone. Still, it has held out pretty well.
